Introducing Our New Rental Cabin!

Hey friends! I just wanted to take a few sentences and say I truly appreciate all of the support my little blog receives from y'all. Each time one of you tells me you read a post or tried a recipe, it brings me such joy!  It means so much that the time I spend writing posts and taking pictures means something to you too!  Now on to a big announcement for us...

We will soon be listing our cabin apartment as a short term rental!  It's a totally private 1,000 square foot, one bedroom cabin with its own kitchen and bathroom that just happens to be attached to our main cabin. It has its own private entrance and a beautiful porch to put your feet up on and relax. It will sleep 6! It is about 20 minutes from downtown Wilmington, NC, but nestled in our very private wooded 9 acres.

Over the last year we have completely renovated our little cabin. We ripped out the carpet and linoleum and installed new 12" wide plank wood floors that you probably read about in these posts DIY Wide Plank Pine Floors [Part 1- Installation] and DIY Wide Plank Pine Floors [Part 2- Finishing]. And we opened up the kitchen and dining area by removing a wall. It lets so much more light in now that the window isn't closed off.

We completely renovated the bathroom into a luxurious space with a vaulted wood ceiling. This luxurious shower is just waiting for you!

You can see the pictures of the bathroom before we took down the dropped ceiling and opened it all up, as well as everything else we did here One Room Challenge | Week 1 | Before's and Plans. It was in pretty rough shape. I'm just amazed at how far this bathroom has come! I know our guests will love it!

We have the bedroom all done too!  You may have seen everything we did here in this post A Peek In our New Tranquil Guest Bedroom. It's such a relaxing retreat for our guests. Those blackout curtains will ensure you can sleep in as long as you want in the comfy bed.

So what is next for the little cabin? I'm working on furnishing and decorating the great room and dining room. I hope to be done very soon.

Then we will move on to the loft area! This is what I'm most excited about because I have big plans for this space. It will be a such dreamy and cozy additional sleeping space. We recently built a ladder that slides out for easy access. It slides back in when you don't need it to provide a little more floor space.

The kitchen will get a little decorating and will be completely stocked with everything our guests will need. And then that's pretty much it! I'm so excited to see this idea finally come to life! I'm going to keep updating you guys as we finish parts of the project and I'll let you know as soon as it's ready to book!
