Yellow and Green Spring Tablescape

Welcome to my yellow and green Spring table! It’s full of vintage glassware and pretty flowers!

Today is the last day of Celebrate Spring Blog Hop and I'm so happy to be part of it!

The Celebrate Spring Blog Hop is hosted by my friend Leen of Sand Dollar Lane. 25 bloggers have been sharing creative Spring decorating ideas all week; including porches, mantels and console tables, entryways, and DIY crafts. Today we are sharing tablescapes!

The links to all of the posts from the week are at the end of this post. Make sure to check them out!

If you are visiting from What Meegan Makes, welcome!

This entire table was inspired by a set of vintage yellow dishes I found while thrifting. I’ve been looking for yellow glasses for a while, so I was excited to find them. I immediately saw them on the table for Spring.

My favorite thing about vintage glassware is that it is usually quite thick and durable. I have four kids and we use our vintage glasses regularly. They haven’t broken one yet, even though I swear they’ve tried!

I decided to keep my Spring tablescape fairly simple this year.

A simple place setting.

A simple centerpiece.

My kids helped me set this table and wanted to eat here for dinner.

I found these sweet daffodils last week. I always try to buy a living plant instead of cut flowers if possible. These daffodil bulbs were already blooming, so they were perfect for this table. After I'm done, I'll plant them in the yard.

I placed each daffodil bulb into one of my vintage green glass dessert dishes.

You may remember them from this Gathered Vintage Spring Tablescape.

Vintage green glass dessert glasses are my favorite thing to thrift!

My friends know this and will call me when they see them in a local thrift store, but I think we may have found all of them that our little town has to offer! It won't stop us from always being on the lookout though!

If You Like It,
Please Pin It!

Anyway, back to the daffodil bulbs in those green glasses...

For the daffodils in vintage green glass Spring centerpiece, here's what I used:

I laid a little bed of moss, then the bulb, and then moss on top of it to cover the bulb.

The vintage green dessert glasses are all different shapes and sizes, but I like that. I set them in a row down the middle of the table.

And now, for the place settings...

I just love these.

I painted dollar store chargers for this table. Here is how I did it in this post DIY Painted Sparrow Chargers for a Spring Table.

And then, I topped the chargers with a clear glass plate to let them shine through!

Be on the look out in the next coming days for this amazing Lemon and Lavender Cake with Lavender Infused Buttercream recipe!

As well as 17 Things to Add to Make Deviled Eggs Unique! I served these deviled eggs on my Grandma's antique green glass egg plate. My sister-in-law was kind enough to lend it to me for this table. I found so many pretty antique and vintage deviled egg plates here!

Thanks for stopping by and seeing my yellow and green Spring Tablescape! To continue on the hop, please head over to The Little by Little Home and see Leigh's pretty Spring table.

And here are all of the other creative ideas for celebrating Spring in your home from all of the other bloggers this week!

Happy Spring Y'all!

Dara, there's so much I love about your spring table. I too love to collect vintage glasses. However, I have never found yellow. Most of mine is green, pink in dark red. The daffodils down the center are so pretty and totally invoke spring. I'm also loving that lavender cake. So pretty and sounds delicious.

I am a vintage and antique lover and I immediately was so excited to read your post after seeing your first picture. I love how you used the green dessert dishes to hold daffodils in bloom. I have a set of green glasses and also amber glasses that are vintage that look similar to your dessert dishes that we use daily. Like you, I love how heavy and thick the glass is. Your yellow glassware was a great find. It was a pleasure to see your beautiful table.

Dara - we too love antique and vintage decor. We have the matching green pitcher to your dessert dishes...and many other pieces inherited from our mom/granny. Love how you used them in such a fun way. Your table is beautiful! Happy Spring!

Your tablescape is, as usual, gorgeous Dara! I love the daffs and the green dishes. I never find great thrift store finds, maybe I need to go with you! Great idea using clear dishes so the cute chargers can be seen too!

Dara, I absolutely adore the vintage glassware you've placed on your table. That is one thing that is always on my "scavenger hunt" list when I'm thrift shopping! It's so neat how you've added daffodil bulbs right into some of them.

Dara, I love everything about your spring table! The daffodils make me smile and those painted chargers are so pretty. Vintage glass is one of my favorite things. I am fortunate to have some of my grandmother's pieces and they are treasures. It was so much fun to hop with you. Happy Spring!

Dara, green is my favorite color, so I was thrilled to see your vintage green glass dessert cups filled with daffodils running down the center of your long table. It made quite a dramatic impact! I agree with you about the sturdiness of vintage glassware, especially when we have kids! Your cake looks so good! I love the combination of lemon and lavender. And your DIY bird chargers are darling and perfect for spring. It was nice to "meet" you on this hop. Happy Spring!
