Here's the history of this project, what it looked like when we bought the house. I actually really liked this wallpaper, but it was damaged and we had to remove it.

Back in 2020, we did a little facelift of this bathroom. We only spent $100, although that went a lot farther six years ago. Here's the post for that Kids' Jack and Jill Bathroom Renovation | $100 Room Challenge | Week 5

This is the last of the original plumbing left in the house. A couple of months ago I was dusting a table in the area on the first floor underneath this bathroom and discovered a jar of beach sand I had there was full of water. It was quite the mystery of how that happened.

We figured out the tub plumbing was leaking down through the wood of the ceiling. It's in a corner back door entrance we rarely use so it was very fortunate that jar was in the exact right place at the right time because it saved the floor!

So first up is demolition of this tub and shower combo, the cabinets and floor. When we removed the other two of these combo units in other bathrooms we found some surprises, so we are curious to find out what this one has behind it.

I'll be updating on our progress each week for this eight week challenge! As always, thanks for stopping by and checking out my projects!
