One Room Challenge [Modern Rustic Home Office] Week 3 - Lack of Progress

I was so hoping to have such exciting news to share with you about our One Room Challenge Modern Rustic Office Project this week. But the sad truth is, we have too many ongoing projects at once and our half done landscaping project took precedence this week. There is a lot of necessary small project juggling that has to take place in our overall large renovation project.

I'm going to be straight with you, that general lack of progress in addition to some setbacks in the project are frustrating. The love seat I was planning on ordering is now out of stock on every website it was previously available on. I'm thinking now that I'm going to have to pick a different one rather than chance it becoming available again. That means everything I had planned may have to change depending on what I find. We've also had trouble finding a ceiling fan and light combination that gives us enough light in the room with the style we want. So some compromises have been made, and we are now on the hunt for a light fixture that will provide sufficient up and down light for the room.

One awesome thing that happened this week is I found a Mid Century Desk for free on Craigslist. It is the perfect size for the dormer. It needs some work, but I'm very excited about the possibilities of this piece.

So upcoming this week, I will be painting the room Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace.

I will be overhauling the desk. Once I nail down the love seat selection, I can finalize all of the other details in the design. This project certainly has gotten off to a slow start since we are half way through and have made no tangible progress, but we are gearing up for a big productive week!

Now head on over to Calling It Home and check out what is going on with all of the other participants. They've been doing some exciting things this week!
